Jul 27 - Jul 31 HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH CAMP Join this summer for a diverse blend of activities and meaningful worship experiences. Our services are created to celebrate life in a way that is fun for believers and welcoming to those who don't normally go to church. We offer an experience that allows students to worship God in a way that makes it easy for them to invite their friends. Driven by students and fueled by creativity and relevance, we focus on different issues that speak to the life of high school students. We're committed to meeting the individual needs of every student, exactly where they're at. For more information contact Chris Highfill 417-881-4200.
Jul 31 - Aug 03 ST LOUIS FAMILY CAMP Strong families don’t just happen… they are built! The bible tells us that ‘unless the Lord builds the house, those who are building it labor in vain’. A Christian family built by God has a strong foundation of biblical principles, sturdy walls of close relationships, and a secure roof of God’s blessing. Families who labor to assure Christ as their foundation will stand strong in the midst of trials, instead of crumbling when the storms of life pervade. Unfortunately, we live in a culture where the family structure is fading away and families are therefore falling apart. Is it possible that we’ve lost God’s vision for families? It’s like we’ve lost sight of simple lessons learned in our infancy: When our foundation is weak and our materials are shoddy, the Wolf will undoubtedly blow our house down. Surely families also long to have not only the kind of strength that protects from dangers but also the kind of strength that empowers for change. It only takes a quick look around today to know that everyone in the world is in desperate need of radical transformation. We need the kind of strength that is both secure and unshakable as well as powerful and effective. Families must stand strong against the negative influences of the culture and seek to be powerfully influential as they stand strong for the truth, love, and righteousness. Husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, are you ready to recapture God’s vision for families? Camp speakers will be Voddie Baucham, Donald S. Whitney, and Gregg Harris. October - 2009

Oct 02 - Oct 10 Season of our Joy The Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Sukkot or Feast of Booths) is an eight day Judaeo - Christian festival (the Season of our Joy) that pictures the establishment of the 1000 year messianic kingdom to be set up at the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah (Christ). It is one of the three pilgrimage festivals God gave the children of Israel in the Bible (Leviticus 23). It was during these festivals that the Israelites would bring their offerings and firstlings to the Temple in Jerusalem and enjoy a feast! Our Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot Booths) is like a rehearsal looking forward to that day when the King of Kings rules his people from Jerusalem and each nation goes up to celebrate it. (Zech 14:16) For more information visit the event website www.season-of-our-joy.com.

November - 2009

Nov 20 - Nov 22 Mizzou BSU Vision:Resound God created the world by means of speech-acts… he spoke the world into existence. What implications does this have for our speech? This is an event where high school and middle school students will be challenged to examine their speech and thought life and determine what sort of world they're creating when they speak. Do their words bring God's Kingdom here more or less when they speak? [Genesis 1; James 3:1-18] This is a retreat focused on deepening youth’s love and knowledge of God as well as helping youth leaders expand their outreach and vision for their youth. It’s a great opportunity for smaller youth groups to be part of something bigger and allow their kids the opportunity to get to know other youth and worship in a large group atmosphere. For more information email Ashley Williams at anwxr9@gmail.com or call the BSU at 573-449-3843. Visit the event website at www.letyourvoiceresound.com.
