June - 2013
| Jun 03 - Jun 07 | STUDENT LIFE #1 | "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."
1 Corinthians 16:13
The Christian life isn't easy and some would say it shouldn't be. So, how do your students look at their Christian life? Do they look at it as a chore? Do they look at it as a challenge? Do they see it as a journey and not a destination? We want to help your students live a life without boundaries. A life in which they are bold not just for the sake of being seen, but bold because they serve a God that is bold. A God that sees what they can become. How do they do that? They do that by Being on Guard, Standing Firm in the Faith. Being Courageous and Being Bold. Being Audacious. For more information visit www.studentlife.com or call 800-718-2267. |
| Jun 10 - Jun 14 | Area One Camp | “For You light my lamp: The Lord my God illuminates my darkness” Psalm 18:28
Illuminate: I was blind but now I see! It is so easy, even for Christians, to be deceived by the things of this world. Only the Light of Christ brings us out of darkness and enables us to walk in the freedom of Truth. This year we are seeking to remove any blinders from our eyes, to move forward with a renewed passion, and walk confidently from a position based solely on the Word of God. Sometimes we don’t know what we are missing… this summer we will find out! Master illusionist, Harris III, will use your students on stage to help illustrate how easily deceived we can be. His teaching will incorporate illusions that are sure to captivate and transform your students. Don’t be fooled though, these illusions are not just for entertainmet. They will carry with them the weight of truth and are specifically designed to show the power of the Gospel over, and in, our lives. During AREA1:camps we will challenge students to start a relationship with Jesus Christ if they do not have one. The challenge for students that already follow Christ will be to consider what it means to live for Christ or, put another way, be the church rather than just attending church. When we present the gospel we present the facts and trust students to make a decision because we believe that God’s Word will not return void to Him. We also work to create opportunities for you and your youth team to minister to your students. Should you be short on adult volunteers to pray with your students the AreaOne staff will be available to support you. Online registration and information: 888-GOAREA1 or visit www.areaone.org |

| Jul 21 - Jul 26 | CHRIST IN YOUTH -MOVE | On a hillside thousands of years ago, a Rabbi spoke words that are still as radical today as they were the day they were delivered. Be perfect. Love your enemies. The meek will rule the world. These red letter words demand everything. And each was lived out to perfection by the Rabbi himself.
But what if these words weren't just clever maxims but the calling cards of kingdom workers? MOVE 2012 will bring the Sermon on the Mount to life and examine these words that changed everything. It's where the Rabbi becomes a king. It's where his followers become new people. For more information visit www.ciy.com, call 417-781-2273, or email move@ciy.com. |

| Sep 18 - Sep 27 | SEASON OF OUR JOY | The Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Sukkot or Feast of Booths) is an eight day Judeo - Christian festival (the Season of our Joy) that pictures the establishment of the 1000 year messianic kingdom to be set up at the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah (Christ). It is one of the three pilgrimage festivals God gave the children of Israel in the Bible (Leviticus 23). It was during these festivals that the Israelites would bring their offerings and firstlings to the Temple in Jerusalem and enjoy a feast! The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot Booths) is like a rehearsal looking forward to that day when the King of Kings rules his people from Jerusalem and each nation goes up to celebrate it. (Zech 14:16)
