2010 IMPACT Introductory Information

Dear Prospective IMPACT Member (Student Summer Staff):

Thank you for being interested in serving the Lord with us at Windermere. You are probably trying to decide whether or not to be a part of our staff and needing some information about us. Likewise, if interested, we will want information about you. Please prayerfully review the information found on our website and if you feel led, download an application and mail it to us. In addition to the application please fill out the information found on page 2 and send it with your application as it applies only to student summer staff.

Romans 12:13 says: Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (NIV) As members of IMPACT, we have the opportunity to serve the needs of our guests. What an honor to make sure that someone has a clean room, a good meal, a place to play and more importantly a place to meet with God. The IMPACT staff look forward to several things - great friends and supervisors who wish to help you grow, an opportunity to work and worship with a community of believers that includes staff and guests, comfortable lodging, better than average camp food, and fun recreational opportunities including ski trips, cave tours, zip-lines, water-parks, concerts and a whole lot more.

Staff who work at the EDGE will be required to attend Challenge Course Certification from May 24-27. These staff will be required to move in (if living on campus) by Sunday, May 23. EDGE staff will likely be need the week prior to training due to school groups using The EDGE as their field trip destination.

Most of the rest of the IMPACT staff will be asked to move in on Thursday, May 27. Memorial Day Weekend begins the next day and staff will be needed to fill roles in their perspective areas. Official start-dates may vary depending on the needs of individual department supervisors. Please be very specific about your move-in, start-date, end-date and move-out date. No guess-work. Your availability helps determine our decision.

For 2010, we will have an intentional program of discipleship. We are fare more interested in you than just the amount of work you will perform. We hope that the time you share with us will be nurturing and encouraging. There will be certain meetings and events that unless you are scheduled to work, you will be required to attend. Please be ready to cheerfully attend Bible Studies, Worship Services, discipling events, recreation, etc. We don't intend to leave anyone behind in 2010 in their opportunity for spiritual, social, mental and physical growth. Be aware that our tolerance for un-Godly character is low. Please sign up only if you believe your behavior and attitude will be that of a growing Christian. Begin praying now for all IMPACT members.
