- Wait patiently (v. 25) Paul seems to point out we must have a confident patience. Confidence that demonstrates our hope lies in the Lord only.
- Keep praying even when you don’t know what to say (v. 26-27) The Lord knows our hearts so deeply, he is not surprised at our weaknesses. Furthermore, he goes to bat for us. He intercedes!
- Trust God’s plan will happen. (v. 28) Many count this verse as a favorite. Our Lord is sovereign. He is at work. No matter happens, His will is done. I want to join the Lord in that work.
- Keep Christ as the standard. (v. 29) We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. The more Christ-like we are the more we will see victories.

I must admit I get anxious and a little tense this time of year. Sometimes I wish that God’s will could be easier to discover. But, it does not happen that way. The only way to find peace is to “leave it with the Lord.” I am sure that is what Paul was saying in Romans 8:25-29 –
25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
In this passage I can see a good framework on trusting God’s will. When you leave it with the Lord then you resolve to –
