This past week, we had a great Fall Adult Retreat. So many of you were kind enough to express your appreciation and encouragement. I tried to point out that Windermere has a great team that goes the extra mile when it comes to customer service. This year our team has been receiving great customer service feedback from our guests.
I had a friend in the Baptist camping world say to me – “You team must LEAD with customer service.” To LEAD with customer service always makes me think. Leading and customer service is a hard thing to try and accomplish. Is there an example? Yes.
Jesus is the number one example. His leadership style is called servant leadership. This is the very definition of leading with customer service.
- Self confidence
- Knows men
- Makes own decisions
- Originates own methods
- Enjoys commanding others
- Motivated by personal growth considerations
- Confident in God
- Knows God
- Seeks to find God’s will
- Finds and follows God’s methods
- Delights to obey God
- Motivated by love of God and man
I have used this quote from Gene Wilkes for many years, “You will never become a servant leader until you first become servant to the leader.”
Thank you to all our friends who attended the Fall Adult Retreat. Your words are a tremendous blessing. Thank you the great servant leaders on our Windermere team. To all of us – let’s continue to FIRST become a servant to our leader – Jesus Christ!
It is always a pretty day at the lake.
