Dear Windermere friends and family,During this time of year, we always focus on Thanksgiving and reflect on how God has blessed us.
My Thanksgiving memories are filled with food, fun, and family. We ate tons of turkey and that green jello with pecans in them. We would play touch football outside and then watch the Dallas Cowboys play on TV. Most of all, we spent time together as a family. Not many of you know that I am the child of deaf parents. Both my mom and dad were deaf. The four of us siblings never thought much about it. We did what we had to do. Mom and dad never made excuses, the just worked hard, parented with interest, had a sense of humor and lived for the Lord. My parents modeled an authentic life. They had a simple faith. They taught us to trust he Lord and always show gratitude.Windermere operates 365 days a year as a camping and conference center. Approximately 1,000 people make a profession of faith yearly. This kind of ministry needs your support. Many of you have shared with me about how grateful you are for Windermere. You have cherished memories of visits here. God has blessed you here.
